In Room 12 we are learning Te Reo (Maori) and we are enjoying watching Brent the Postie teach us a new word every week. Here is the link to his funny videos.

Orewa Beach Trip
We had an awesome family beach day at Orewa Beach last Friday.
It was beautiful weather with a bit of cloud cover so we were safe from the sun.
Swimming in the huge waves was a highlight for lots of us!
A few of us had to have a wee sleep on the way home, as it was exhausting doing all that relaxing and playing! A massive thanks to all the parents and whanau who came along. It was great to meet you and to get the chance to get to know you better.

Skateboard Pros
We were pretty excited about skateboarding today, even though some of us were a bit nervous too.
Miss Eyre was impressed that we helped each other to put on our safety gear.
We were pretty good at listening to instructions on how to put on the gear, and how to push with one foot on the board.
After a few practises of pushing, we were ready for 2 feet on. What did we have to do with our feet on the boards?
Miss Gordon and Miss Eyre were naturals too!
We can't wait for the next four lessons!
Meet the Parent night
We had a great time at our Meet the Teacher night last night. After I spoke to the parents about the Middle School we had some more fun in the Dr Seuss photo booth!
