Miss Eyre had forgotten about this blog for a few months, but now we have remembered again! We thought we should tell you a bit about Ruma Ono. Here's how we describe ourselves:

"We are 5 years old, apart from Nesta who is 6." - Taiyo
"We work as a team." - Amelia
"We help each other and some of us have wiggly teeth!" - Ari
"We read together as a team and we treat each other nice." - Jayda
"We help each other and play with new people. We are gentle and don't punch or kick." - Nesta
"We work together as a class and we can make origami dogs and cats. We can do manga eyes together in Room 6." - Shaolyn
"We help people when they are sad and we play with them." - Blair
"We make new friends by introducing you to them and smiling. I have new teeth growing." - Kaitlyn
"We play nicely with each other." - James
"We are not rude when our teacher is talking." - Alex
"We play nicely with our friends." - Connor
"We aim high in our learning." - Brooke
"We be nice to each other and we don't fight." - Scarlett
"Mistakes are how we learn." - Oliver
"Room 6 loves running and cross country." - Cruz

As a class  we are learning about Japan. We have learned about the term "wabi sabi" which means finding beauty in things that are not perfect. We have seen this in autumn leaves which have fallen off the trees. We even wrote haiku poems about them! Miss Eyre will have to put some up online.

  2. It's lovely to read your descriptions, It's awesome that you are so nice to eachother, work together and give things a try. I also think that "wabi sabi" is a wonderful word (one we are hearing a lot at home now too).
