Today we ate worms.....

Not real worms!! We are looking at the letter j this week, and we decided to make some jelly worms. We had to cross our fingers as Miss Eyre wasn't sure if they were going to work, but phew, they did.

What happens when you put Jello inside of straws? JELLO WORMS! You rubber band the straws together. Pour the jello mixture in the straws. The liquid will fill the straws and around the outer straw. Place it in the fridge until it gelled. Pull out the clump of banded straws. Run warm water over the straws for about 5 seconds, and the fabulously disgusting life like worms slide out! //Gross! but my kids would love this...

Here's what they looked like on Pinterest.

Here's what they looked like in Room 6! Nailed it!

We also had some students bring in some home learning.

Vivian loves to watch Frozen and she made a book with pictures in it which she will write in.

Oscar loves Ultraman, a cool cartoon. It was all in Chinese, so we looked at the pictures and made predictions about what was happening in the story.

Thanks for sharing, Oscar and Vivian!
